Glass Engraving Is One of Our Specialties
Not all laser engraving on glass produces the same result. Glass is a difficult material to engrave well.
Many conventional engraving methods work by rapidly heating the surface of the glass, creating microscopic fractures that form the design. That can work, but it can also create an engraving that looks heavily chipped, feels rough when you run your finger across it, or has uneven edges and small flakes along the engraved surface.
We know the difference because years ago, when we first began laser engraving glass, we used those processes too.
Today, Crescent uses a specialized glass engraving process designed to produce a much cleaner result.
Rather than creating a heavily fractured surface, our process precisely alters the surface of the glass to create a smooth, controlled frosted appearance similar to fine sandblasting.
The result is crisp, refined and comfortable to the touch.
It also allows us to reproduce detailed logos, lettering, monograms, names and artwork consistently. Whether we are engraving one piece or producing hundreds or thousands of matching glasses.

Frosted Glass Engraving
Sometimes the engraving itself is all you need. Our natural engraving produces a soft frosted appearance that creates contrast against clear glass without adding another material or color. It is clean, understated and particularly well suited for:

Color-Filled Bottle Engraving
Bottle engraving opens up another set of possibilities.
After engraving the glass, we can add a specialty color compound to the engraved area and buff the excess away from the surrounding surface. The result is an engraving that becomes considerably more visible while still retaining the dimension and texture of actual engraved glass.
Gold and silver are especially popular on perfume, premium liquor, wine and champagne bottles. Black can create a sophisticated, understated appearance.
We can also work with more vibrant colors including red, green, pink and other shades—to coordinate the engraving with a bottle label, corporate identity, event theme or packaging. For certain bottles, color filling also allows us to use an extremely delicate engraving while still creating a highly visible finished design.
Liquor & Whiskey Bottle Engraving
A great bottle already feels like a gift. Permanent engraving turns it into something personal. We regularly engrave bourbon, whiskey and other liquor bottles for:

Some bottles are particularly well suited to engraving because they have large flat or gently curved areas of exposed glass. Others require more planning. Bottle shape, labels, coatings, glass thickness and the location of the available engraving area can all affect what we can do.
We have worked with everything from standard 750 mL bottles to large-format and magnum bottles, and we are always happy to look at something unusual.
Wine & Champagne Bottle Engraving
We also engrave wine and champagne bottles for individual gifts, corporate programs, weddings, events and branded projects. Champagne and other sparkling-wine bottles require additional evaluation because the bottle is under pressure. Bottle construction and glass composition can vary significantly between manufacturers. For that reason, specialty and pressurized bottles are evaluated for engraving compatibility before we commit to production.

One Piece, 150 Pieces, 600 Pieces or 2,500 Pieces
One of the things that makes Crescent different is our range. We are completely comfortable engraving one important bottle.
We are also set up to produce hundreds or thousands of pieces. A project might be a single engraved bottle that needs to become a gift tomorrow. It might be 150 matching bottles for a corporate program. It might be 600 pieces personalized individually while guests are standing in front of us. Or it might be 2,500 wine glasses that all need to look virtually identical.
Those are very different projects, and we have experience working at each of those scales.
For larger projects, our team can help with artwork preparation, production planning, personalization data and packaging considerations so that the job moves smoothly from the first piece to the last.
Live Glassware & Bottle Engraving
We can also bring engraving directly to your event.
Crescent Custom Events provides live personalization throughout New Orleans and travels nationally for corporate events, conferences, experiential marketing programs and brand activations.

Absolutely. We work on items you bring in, as well as products we source in house.
We’ve engraved thousands of customer-supplied pieces, and issues are rare, but because we don’t control the item’s material or history, customer provided items are engraved at your own risk. If a problem occurs, we’ll gladly redo the engraving, but we can’t replace your original item.
When you choose from our in-stock inventory, your item is fully covered by us.
